Courtney Rich
Speech-Language Pathologist | Pediatric Feeding & Swallowing
Helping Little Ones Thrive, One Feeding Milestone at a Time
Courtney Rich is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with a clinical focus on pediatric feeding and swallowing.
Working with infants and young children from birth to age four, Courtney helps families better understand their child’s feeding needs and develop practical, individualized strategies to make feeding safer, more comfortable, and more enjoyable.
With experience across pediatric hospital, early intervention, and community settings, she brings both clinical knowledge and a compassionate, family-centred approach to care.
Experience That Makes a Difference
Courtney brings a diverse clinical background spanning pediatric hospitals, early intervention, community healthcare, and educational settings.
Her hospital experience includes working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), maternal care, and pediatric inpatient services, as well as outpatient clinics supporting children with cleft lip and palate and G-tubes.
Throughout her career, Courtney has collaborated with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals.
Before becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Courtney studied social work and worked as a preschool teacher and with children with diverse developmental needs. These experiences helped shape her understanding of child development and the importance of individualized, family-centred care.
THE HEART BEHIND HER CARE
Compassion Shaped by Personal Experience
Courtney’s approach to care is deeply influenced by her own life experiences.
Growing up with a twin sister with cerebral palsy gave her an early appreciation for developmental differences and the importance of seeing each child beyond a diagnosis.
Later, becoming a mother brought an even more personal perspective. When her first child experienced feeding difficulties, Courtney found herself navigating the same uncertainty, frustration, and questions that many parents face.
That experience reinforced something she now brings to every family she works with: parents need more than clinical advice. They need to feel heard, understood, and supported.
Today, Courtney combines her clinical knowledge with firsthand experience as a parent, helping families find practical, realistic strategies that fit into everyday life.
HER PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
You’re Not Navigating Feeding Challenges Alone.
Courtney believes that feeding therapy is about more than developing feeding skills. It’s about understanding each child, supporting their family, and making everyday feeding experiences more positive.
She takes a thoughtful, collaborative, and family-centred approach, paying close attention to each child’s feeding cues, developmental needs, and individual challenges.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, Courtney works alongside parents and caregivers to develop practical, individualized strategies that fit naturally into daily routines.
Her goal is for every family to leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered—with a better understanding of their child and something meaningful they can begin doing right away.
Courtney is here to listen, understand, and work alongside your family—every step of the way.
